What happens during my appointment?

You may be wondering what actually happens during your appointment and how the procedure is done. There are several steps we go through in order to achieve the perfect brows. I'll walk you through those steps!

Once you have your appointment booked I will give you pre-care instructions. Yes, it is just as important as aftercare! You can find out more about how to prepare for your appointment in this blog. The day of your appointment we will talk about what you are wanting to accomplish and which procedure would work best for you. I will work with you on finding the perfect shape and have you approve it. I use several measuring tools to ensure everything is symmetrical. This step can take a while but it is crucial. I do not want to limit my time on this step. We want to make sure the shape is right for you! Once you approve the shape I will pre- numb you with Zensa numbing cream. This will sit on your brows for 20 - 25 minutes. Once you are numb and ready to go I will go ahead and do a few strokes at the head of the brow. Most likely you will only feel some pressure, If you still feel pain I will add more cream and let it sit for a few more minutes. My goal is for you to be as comfortable as possible.

I will do the first pass with a sterile, disposable microblading tool. Then I will mask the brow with pigment and move on to the second brow. Once both brows have their first pass I will add a second numbing agent. since the skin is broken the numbing effect will be instant! If you felt a little discomfort the first time around chances are you will now no longer feel a thing! I’ll go over those strokes 3 or 4 more times until the color is perfect!

If you decided to add shading I will use a pmu machine with a single needle. I will fill in where hair is sparse. I focus most on the tail and the spine of the eyebrows where it should be darker than the rest to create a natural look.

For Ombre brows it is a bit different. I do the numbing and shaping. I them move on to use a sterile disposable needle on my permanent makeup machine. This creates tiny dots on the surface on the skin. I go over the entire brow in fast yet tiny motions. The motions are fast but the work is still slow for the best results. This is repeated several times and is done more toward the tail and spine of the eyebrow. It creates the illusion of powder. Once healed the results are beautiful!

Once I am done I will have you approve and make any changes if necessary. I will apply ointment and hand you your aftercare kit with instructions. You can find out more about how to care for them here.

Understanding what goes on during a session will put you at ease and help you decide if this procedure is right for you. there are many people who get their brows done and do not know what actually goes on or how its done. It is very important that you do your research and for you to find an artist that you trust!
